Sonai Police's Major Bust: ₹1 Lakh Worth of Yaba Tablets Seized, Four Smugglers Apprehended

Sonai, 10/09/23: Sonai Police, has achieved a significant victory in its ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking. Acting on confidential information, the law enforcement agency successfully confiscated Yaba tablets valued at approximately one lakh rupees and arrested four individuals involved in smuggling.
On Sunday evening, a dedicated police team, led by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASM) Mansh Sandhikar, intercepted a vehicle bearing Mizoram registration number MJ, D, 01 E 2772 near the Assam border.
During a thorough search, officers discovered a substantial quantity of Yaba tablets concealed in the vehicle. In a commendable display of law enforcement, they swiftly apprehended four suspects connected to the illegal operation.
The arrested individuals include Lalhuanjuala, a 22-year-old resident of Konpui village in Kolasib district, Mizoram, Aizyak Janun Sanga, an 18-year-old resident of Konpui village, Kolasib district, Mizoram, Ali Ansar, a 27-year-old resident of Kulichar in Dhalai district, Tripura and V.L. Sanga, a 38-year-old resident of Ramthar Veng village, Aizawl district, Mizoram.
Notably, one of the detained individuals is linked to an assault case. The suspects were allegedly en route to sell the seized Yaba tablets within the jurisdiction of Sonaipolice.
Currently, Sonai Police is conducting an extensive interrogation of the arrested individuals to gather more information about the drug trafficking network and related criminal activities. This operation highlights the unwavering commitment of Sonaipolice to maintain law and order in the region, protect communities from the menace of narcotics, and bring those involved in such illegal activities to justice.
