Students of Silchar Take the Road Against the Killing of Two Students in Manipur

A demonstration gathered students from multiple educational institutions who assembled at the base of the Khudiram statue in Silchar on Tuesday, voicing their outrage over the tragic deaths of two students in Manipur.

The protesters expressed their dissent by symbolically burning effigies representing the Manipur government. Tensions escalated at the protest site, particularly around the effigy symbolizing Kusputla.

Despite police presence, the demonstrators set ablaze an effigy representing Kusputla, all in pursuit of their sole demand: justice for the perpetrator of this heinous act.
