Under the banner of the Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist) Party, election rallies resonated across various locales in the Silchar Lok Sabha constituency, including Amraghat, Swadhin Bazar, Rangirkhari, and Konkapur Bazar. A coalition of party members and leaders, including Mayukh Bhattacharya, Bhavtosh Chakraborty, Subrata Chandra Nath, Professor Dr. Ajay Ray, Dulali Ganguly, Swagata Bhattacharya, and candidate Prabhas Chandra Sarkar, addressed the gatherings, highlighting the pervasive discontent among Barak Valley's unemployed youth. Despite the region's potential for economic growth through natural resource utilization, the neglect from both BJP and Congress-elected MPs has plunged many into despair over the lack of job opportunities.
Amidst the grievances aired at the rallies, Professor Ajay Ray emphasized the necessity of prepaid smart meters to regulate household electricity consumption, aiming to alleviate the financial burden exacerbated by escalating electricity bills and a stagnant job market. However, despite mounting protests, the BJP government's apparent apathy towards addressing these concerns, coupled with unfulfilled promises of infrastructure development, continues to fuel public disillusionment. Subrata Chandra Nath shed light on the failure of BJP welfare schemes to effectively reach the masses, with many citizens feeling excluded from benefits due to upfront payment requirements, further deepening societal divisions and discontent.
In response to the perceived neglect and exploitation by ruling parties, the Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist) Party calls for a unified democratic movement, urging citizens to rally behind their candidate and challenge the dominance of elite-controlled political entities. The party's rallying cry seeks to galvanize public support against systemic mismanagement and inequity, emphasizing the need for solidarity to forge a stronger democratic front against entrenched power structures.
