Sudden Street Brawl between Two groups leaves a man fighting for his life at SMCH.

In a shocking turn of events, a minor incident that turned into an aggressive fight took place at Silchar Central Road on the eve of Holi, leaving Dipankar Ghosh, owner of Calcutta Flower Decorator, seriously injured.

An eye-witness reported that the clash happened between two groups over road crossing which was in time stopped by the police at metro bazar point. But the two parties indulged in fighting again after the police had left the spot. They started hitting each other with whatever they could find in front of their hands. The incident took place at the Old Annapurna Cinema Hall in Central Road.

As per sources, an unknown young man hit Dipankar Ghosh with a bamboo stick leading him fall on the ground. The attacker continued hitting Ghosh by punching him on his face and head while sitting on his chest. The attacker and his companions later elloped from the place after the intervention of local police. The police took Ghosh to SMCH for treatment. They also arrested a person in connection with the brutal incident.

However, the daughter of Dipankar Ghosh stated that there are no such talk that he is fighting for his life and is in critical condition. He is perfectly fine and is currently at home. People are spreading false rumours without any confirmation.
