In a commendable operation, law enforcement agencies successfully rescued three drivers who were kidnapped from the Ainachara stone quarry in Cachar. The victims, identified as Raju Tanti, Amit Urang, and Vishwa Dhar, were found unharmed in the dense jungle on the Cachar-Dimahasao border at approximately 3 am.

The incident unfolded when two JCB drivers and a dump truck driver were abducted by a group of armed men at the Ainachara stone quarry in Cachar, situated on the Cachar-Dimahasao border, on Saturday morning. The victims were identified as 20-year-old Arun Kumar and 18-year-old Arun Kumar, adding a layer of complexity to the already perilous situation.

Upon learning of the abduction, a swift response was initiated by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Assam Rifles, under the leadership of Cachar Superintendent of Police Nomal Mahatta. The joint operation aimed to locate and rescue the three drivers from the dense jungle where they were held captive.

After 45 intense hours of search and rescue efforts, the law enforcement teams successfully located and freed the abducted drivers from the intricate terrain on the Cachar-Dimahasao border early this morning. The victims were found unharmed, bringing relief to their families and the community.

The Cachar Police have not yet disclosed details regarding the circumstances of the rescue operation or if any arrests have been made in connection with the kidnapping. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are expected to provide more information as it becomes available.
