Three Drug Traffickers caught by Police in Tarapur with Cash and Heroin In broad daylight

The drug overspread in the Cachar district is seen to hold no back. In the Tarapur area of Silchar, Police has caught three youths, on charges of selling drugs in broad daylight. On Tuesday Afternoon, a special police team raided the Kalimohan road of Tarapur following a lead by the undercover sources.

The raid was led by Additional Superintendent of Police Perth Pratim Saikia, Tarapur Police station in-charge Anand Medhi and Sadar Police Station OC Ditumani Goswami. They recovered cash and drugs, including mobiles and licit heroin from the three miscreants.

Additional Superintendent of Police says that the police team is working hard to capture all the individuals doing such unlawful activities in Cachar District and also asks the public to share information if known.

The detainees that are arrested are all local and are being interrogated to know from where they're getting the banned drugs. They might be mainly entering the district from outside through the international borders.

In between May 1 and May 31 itself, as many as 19 such traffickers have been arrested by the police, mainly from the Tarapur area itself. As a result of the pandemic situation prevailing in the Country, these drug traffickings have also bloomed manifolds.
