Tough battle between Utpal and Amio in BJP office for Dholai by-election contest; Shukhalbaidya critized

Amidst the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the Dholai Assembly by-election, aspirants vying for the party ticket have already begun showcasing their political clout in the constituency. Yesterday, several contenders for the ticket met with Bimalendu Roy, the BJP President of Cachar district, expressing their openness to support any candidate except Kanti Das.

In a separate development on Wednesday, approximately 200 party workers and supporters from Dholai gathered to press their demand for Amio Kanti Das to receive the party ticket. Earlier in the day, they had also met with Kaushik Roy, MLA from Lakshipur Assembly constituency, advocating strongly for Das's candidacy.
