Tragic accident at Silchar railway station: Youth dies after being hit by train

A tragic accident occurred at Silchar Tarapur Railway Station on Saturday, resulting in the death of a young man.

According to reports, the youth was walking along the railway tracks when he was hit by the Silchar Mahisashan train. The impact was fatal, and he died instantly at the scene.

Local residents witnessed the incident and immediately informed the railway police. Upon receiving the news, the railway police arrived at the scene and recovered the body.

The deceased was then sent to Silchar Medical College Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

As of the time of reporting, the identity of the deceased youth has not been established.

The police are continuing their efforts to identify the victim and contact his family.
