Tragic accident claims life of young biker in Berenga

In a heartbreaking incident, a 23-year-old bike rider lost his life in a road accident that occurred around 9:30 pm on Tuesday night in Berenga area near Silchar town. The deceased has been identified as Rakhil Ahmad Mazumder, a resident of the same area.

Eyewitnesses and local residents reported that Rakhil was riding his bike when, while attempting to overtake a tipper, another auto suddenly appeared in front of him. In a desperate maneuver to avoid a collision with the auto, Rakhil lost control of his bike and collided with an electricity pole situated on the side of the road. The impact left Rakhil seriously injured.

Promptly, he was rushed to the Medical College Hospital in an injured state. However, despite the efforts of medical professionals, Rakhil succumbed to his injuries, and doctors declared him dead.

The local residents, who witnessed the tragic incident, blamed the condition of the road for the accident. They expressed their frustration, noting that the unpaved road played a significant role in the unfortunate incident. Furthermore, residents claimed that they had repeatedly brought the issue to the attention of concerned authorities, urging them to widen the road to enhance safety. Regrettably, their pleas seem to have fallen on deaf ears, as no action has been taken to address the longstanding concerns of the community.
