Tragic Incident: 7-year-old boy swept away by flood waters in Kalinagar, found dead

A tragic incident unfolded today in the Kalinagar part 6 as floodwaters claimed the life of a young boy. Despite the cessation of rainfall, the floodwaters have not stabilized, posing a continuous threat to residents near the affected areas. Authorities have urged everyone, especially those with children, to remain vigilant and cautious.

The incident occurred earlier this morning when Sitanjhu Ranjan Das's seven-year-old son, along with other children, was playing on the road. Suddenly, a surge of water swept the boy away. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) conducted an extensive search operation, and at 1:34 PM today, the boy's lifeless body was recovered using a motorboat.

The sight of the deceased child is heart-wrenching and serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by the unpredictable floodwaters. Authorities continue to advise residents to keep a close watch on their surroundings and ensure the safety of their belongings and children.
