In response to severe water logging at Silchar railway station, train services have been suspended on multiple routes. Both Pit Lines at Silchar station have been out of service since 17:20 hours on May 30, 2024. The disruption has led to the cancellation of several train services scheduled for early June.

The following trains have been cancelled as per the latest directive:

1. Train No. 15616 (SCL-GHY) scheduled for 02-06-2024.
2. Train No. 15615 (GHY-SCL) scheduled for 03-06-2024.
3. Train No. 05658 (SCL-SIBR) scheduled for 02-06-2024.
4. Train No. 05660 (SIBR-SCL) scheduled for 03-06-2024.
5. Train No. 05567 (SCL-BHRB) scheduled for 02-06-2024.
6. Train No. 05568 (BHRB-SCL) scheduled for 03-06-2024.
7. Train No. 05687 (DLCR-SCL) scheduled for 02-06-2024.
8. Train No. 15618 (DLCR-GHY) scheduled for 02-06-2024.

The cancellations have been officially communicated by the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) and various railway authorities including LMG, RNY, APDJ, KIR, and TSK. Wide publicity is being given through all available media channels to inform the public. Additionally, updates are being entered into the Integrated Coaching Management System (ICMS), Passenger Information System, Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS), and All India Networking (139).

Passengers are advised to check the latest updates before planning their journey and make alternative arrangements as needed. The railway authorities are working diligently to address the water logging issue and restore services at the earliest possible time.
