Vihaan honours social and cultural contributors with South Assam Achiever's Award at cultural event "Agaaz" in Barak Valley

Vihaan, a non-governmental organization located in the Barak Valley, recently organized a cultural event called "Agaaz" and inaugurated the "South Assam Achiever's Award" to recognize the contributions of notable individuals towards the social and cultural aspects of society. The event was aimed at promoting social service and youth development awareness among the people of Barak Valley and Southern Assam.

The event was inaugurated by several dignitaries, including Shri Kangkan Jyoti Saikia, an IPS officer and DIG, Dr. Sambuddha Dhar, Shri Soumitra Dutta Roy, Smti Swarnali Choudhury, Shri Joydeep Chakraborty, President Kamaldip Purkayastha, and Secretary Prakash Chakraborty. The ceremony began with the lighting of lamps and was followed by the felicitation ceremony.

Ten prominent individuals received the South Assam Achiever's Award, including Shri Kangkan Jyoti Saikia, IPS DIG, Dr. Sambudda Dhar, Shri Soumitra Dutta Roy, Smti Swarnali Choudhury, Shri Joydeep Chakraborty, Shri Vivek Podder, Avd. Tuhina Sharma Biswas, Shri Sabyasachee Rudra Gupta, Smti Sikha Acharjee, and Indrani Bhattacharjee. In addition, 18 different NGOs from the Barak Valley also received the award for their contributions towards society.

The event was a great success, and the organizers extended an open invitation to everyone to attend the program, which was held on March 24 at 5:00 PM at Gandhi Bhawan in Silchar. With events like this, Vihaan and other NGOs are playing a crucial role in promoting social service and youth development awareness in the region. Such efforts will undoubtedly inspire more individuals and organizations to contribute towards the betterment of society.
