Wanna enjoy a cozy winter? You have landed at the perfect place!
It’s that time of the year when you want to curl up near a fire place, find a good book, get yourself a cuppa tea or coffee and enjoy the weather with Alka Yagnik's love songs on your SaReGaMa Carvan .

But then, suddenly you turn and look around and realise that perhaps winter has not arrived at your door ye. ( No GOT reference intended!) There is something absent and you are having a terrible urge to change your house into a haven. Guess what? It’s time to add new colours and extra fabrics to your lovely nest.
Okay, so here are a few interior design ideas to change your typical Link Road er flat to a popular Christmas movie set :
1. Pile up your pillows
Pillows make sofa and chairs look more inviting. Paired with a warm blanket, they provide the perfect sardi-waali feeling. Grab some, especially those fluffy ones, to pile up on the furniture and invite your friends to spend a quality time with them.
2. Bring home some green pals
You know what doctors say about indoor gardening? That it reduces psychological stress. Bring home a few saplings, plant them in those cute, little flowers tubs and enjoy your tinted winter evenings with the scent of jasmines and lavenders while you see lives through your balcony.
3. Add more curtains
Imagine having an exhausting day and you are welcomed into your flat with deafening traffic sounds and chilling winds coming from outside . Horrible , no? Well, care not! Cuz curtains are there. Add more and more curtains to get the perfect protection from cold blows and raastar chitkaar. Also, it would look chic, vintage and cozy. Much like the flats in French movies.
4. More and more black curtains
Black curtains are the best. These are thick in texture, easy to wash and are more resistible than other colours. Bedeck these with some small colourful lights and you are ready for a house-warming party. Where’s the paarrtyy tonight?
5. Hang artworks and posters
Resurrect the artist in you, brush up your calligraphy skills and make the artworks and wall decorations that you had always wanted to make so that when people come, they just can’t stop looking at your house. C'mon, this is something we all wanted to do when we were little. Don’t you remember, ha?
6. Let there be light but let it be dim
From darkness, cometh light. But in this case, we all want light but not too bright. Lower the light of your lamps, switch-off the lights, bring some scented candles and then see the magic with your own eyes. Doesn’t it feel like something straight out of a Jane Austen novel?!
7. It’s a RUGGY season
Now, this is a vey Western concept and generally people living in that hemisphere have floors covered up with rugs to survive those harsh winters. Since we don’t experience that amount of winter, we can survive with our cement or tiles floor. But when you have to get up at 6 in the morning and you wake up to a stone-cold floor, it seems irritating, right? So here is the remedy. Cover up the floor as much as you can with rug so that your feet remain warm during winters. This will also give a chic touch to your home.
It’s time to welcome the winters with turning our homes the way ‘winter’ likes and it’s bloody affordable!
