Young man beaten by two women and associates in Silchar

In Silchar, an altercation has drawn attention amid ongoing national discussions on women's safety. On Saturday, representatives from various organizations reported to the police that two women, along with their associates, had assaulted a young man, Sonal Roy, without provocation. The incident occurred at an HDFC Bank ATM counter at Capital Travels crossing on Friday night.

According to the complainants, the two women are employed at a local spa, which they alleged is involved in immoral activities. The trouble began when Roy, who was waiting to use the ATM, was confronted by the women who had been there earlier. 

They became agitated when told to wait, and reportedly started making offensive remarks towards Roy. When he protested, the situation escalated, with the women and an accompanying man physically attacking Roy. The assault continued with additional individuals from the spa joining in until nearby residents intervened.

Following the assault, Roy and the organization representatives filed a formal complaint at the local police station. They not only sought action against the individuals involved but also accused the spa of engaging in unethical practices. The police are investigating the incident and the allegations against the spa.
